Cheap Massage CE Bundle: 18 Hours for $100

A cheap massage CE bundle should be inexpensive and honest about what it does not cover. If you need a specific state-mandated topic, live technique hours, or a precise delivery format, the lowest cost per hour is not automatically the best choice.
That said, there is a real value case here. VIP Maui Massage offers five NCBTMB-approved courses totaling 18 CE hours for $100. That works out to $5.56 per CE hour. I am Kevin Watkins II, a licensed massage therapist and NCBTMB Approved Provider (#1003357), and I built this bundle for therapists who want useful professional education without turning renewal season into a $200-plus expense.
What is in VIP's 18-hour CE bundle?
Massage Ethics -- CE hours: 2 | Individual price: $50
Cupping Therapy -- CE hours: 5 | Individual price: $125
PEMF Therapy -- CE hours: 2 | Individual price: $50
Spa 101 Refresher -- CE hours: 4 | Individual price: $100
Hot Stone Massage -- CE hours: 5 | Individual price: $125
Bundle total -- CE hours: 18 | Individual price: $100
Bought individually, those five courses have a stated value of $450. The bundle price is $100. Review the course descriptions at VIP Maui Massage Continuing Education or go straight to the 18-hour bundle checkout.
The per-hour math
A price comparison is only fair when the hour counts are visible.
VIP Maui Massage all-course bundle -- Published CE hours: 18 | Published price: $100 | Approx. price per CE hour: $5.56
Continued annual massage CE membership -- Published CE hours: Unlimited library access | Published price: $149/year | Approx. price per CE hour: Varies by hours completed
MassageTherapyCEU 24-Hour Online Package -- Published CE hours: 24 | Published price: $219 | Approx. price per CE hour: $9.13
MassageTherapyCEU Florida 12-Hour Mandatory + General Package -- Published CE hours: 12 | Published price: $119 | Approx. price per CE hour: $9.92
MassageTherapyCEU Ethics and Research Package -- Published CE hours: 6 | Published price: $54 | Approx. price per CE hour: $9.00
Continued currently lists its Massage Therapy CE membership at $149 per year with unlimited access to its massage-therapy CE library, on-demand courses, and certificates; its value rises if you will actually complete enough relevant courses during the membership year. Continued Massage Therapy CE
MassageTherapyCEU currently lists 24-hour online packages at $219, a 12-hour Florida mandatory-and-general package at $119, and a six-hour Ethics and Research package at $54. Those figures are from its own published package page, not an estimate. MassageTherapyCEU course packages
The conclusion is not that every therapist should choose VIP. A state-specific 24-hour or mandatory-topic package may solve a very specific compliance problem. But if you need a flexible 18-hour set of professional-development education, VIP's published price is substantially lower per hour than the listed comparison packages above.
When the $100 bundle is a strong fit
The bundle is a good fit when you want a broad, practical mix of professional topics and your state or credential accepts the specific courses and delivery format you choose.
It may be especially useful if you want to:
refresh ethics and professional decision-making;
explore cupping or hot stones as modalities;
add spa-oriented knowledge to improve your guest experience;
learn the wellness-focused basics of PEMF; or
accumulate eligible hours at a clear, low bundled price.
Every course is part of a cohesive set. You are not buying 18 unrelated hours just to make a number work.
When a cheap bundle is not enough
This is the part many CE sellers bury. Do not use any general online bundle as a replacement for requirements it does not claim to meet.
A bundle may not be enough if your renewal requires:
a particular state-approved subject, such as laws and rules;
a mandatory safety or human-trafficking course;
in-person or hands-on technique instruction;
live attendance rather than on-demand learning;
a specified number of ethics hours; or
an exact state-total package.
For example, Texas requires at least 12 hours of TDLR-approved or recognized CE, but it limits online or correspondence coursework when the subject is massage techniques or soft-tissue manipulation. Texas also lists human-trafficking prevention training as a separate renewal requirement. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation TDLR massage renewal application
Florida is the clearest example of why a bundle cannot be a whole renewal. Rule 64B7-28.009 requires 24 hours after your first renewal, and only 12 of them may be online. The other 12 must be classroom hours in the physical presence of an approved instructor, with hands-on instruction or demonstration. Florida also mandates 2 hours of state laws and rules, 2 hours of prevention of medical errors, 2 hours of professional ethics, and 1 hour of human trafficking awareness. An 18-hour online bundle can serve the ethics category and the 5 general hours; it cannot serve the classroom hours. Rule 64B7-28.009 Florida Administrative Code
How to compare CE options without getting fooled
Before you buy, make a three-column list:
What do I need for renewal? -- Your answer: Total hours, subjects, format | What to verify: State board or credential rules
What does this offer provide? -- Your answer: Course hours and topics | What to verify: Course page and provider information
What is still missing? -- Your answer: Required gaps | What to verify: Live, state-specific, or mandatory education
Then compare the all-in cost. A $149 unlimited membership might be a better deal if you will finish 30 or 40 accepted hours. A $119 state package might be worth it if it checks a hard-to-find mandatory box. A $100, 18-hour bundle may be the clearest value when your needs are flexible and each course fits your plan.
The right question is not "What is the cheapest CE?" It is "What is the least expensive compliant education that I will actually use?"
Why I kept the bundle simple
I teach and practice massage. I know CE is not always the most exciting line item in a therapist's budget, but it can still be worthwhile. Ethics protects your practice. Modality education can sharpen the way you think about a session. Spa education can improve the client experience. A course about PEMF can help you have a more informed wellness conversation without relying on hype.
The bundle is priced so you can access all five without choosing between them. It is not a universal state-renewal promise. It is a practical learning package from an NCBTMB Approved Provider.
